Slim Down Sunday Meme - Week 17

Heartfelt HomeschoolingWhether you want to lose lose weight, get fit, eat healthier or all of the above – it always helps to have support from those around you.

Goal – (Revised) Run in a 5K

How it Went This Week:

Halloween kinda derailed my running for Monday.  My son's usual class was not being held, thus, I didn't need to go by the Y.  Add to that my other son wanting to spend time with his group in full costume requiring me to acquire and complete face painting, and, well, running didn't happen.

TKD was still in full swing this week.  I did miss my mid-day practice on Friday due to the family BBQ attending we did that day.  Other than that - four days of TKD for a total of six hours.  Yay!

Speaking of the BBQ - between Halloween, the BBQ, and taking my oldest son out for wings since he was home this has been another trainwreck week of eating.  Oh well...

What’s my Plan for next Week:

Run on Monday - this really needs to happen.  It's very easy for me to get out of the habit of running.

TKD all week.  I have to miss the two hour Friday practice because my hubby's annual mountain board meeting is on Friday.  Wives are always invited.

I do get to start learning power breaking with my forearm.  I know it sounds silly, but I'm really looking forward to it!

As for eating, just be mindful of it.  I'm not raising the bar too high on this one!
What fun ways do you get exercise?

  1. Considering you've had such a busy week I think you've done well.

Are you just leaving the 'dieting' side of things for a while or have you got a plan to get started again?

  2. Eileen,

Good question. I'm not gaining weight, and I'm toning some of my less attractive areas with the exercise. With the holidays on us, I may just try to be mindful of the scale and get back to active dieting come January.

  3. Fun ways to get exercise...you are funny. haha Actually I haven't been motivated at all to exercise. Maybe I'll feel more motivated in January. I don't see it happening before then.
