Review - The Butterfly Effect

The Butterfly Effect

How Your Life Matters

Author - Andy Andrews

The butterfly effect is a gift book about the importance of realizing each and every person’s affect on the world. Much like when a pebble is dropped into a still pond – the ripples can cross the entire pond. What we do makes a difference!

Andrews uses examples from history where a seemingly singular instance had historical reverberations. Remove that instant and life would not be the same for us today. The book encourages us to realize that we do have an impact, even when we don’t get to see those ripples reach the other side of the pond.

I will be sending a copy of this book to a person very dear to me who has lost sight of why she is so important. Her contributions affect me one-thousand miles away let alone the people she interacts with daily. Sometimes we get so wrapped up in the little day to day hassles of life we forget that those around us are learning and seeing what we do each day. Those actions, those little kindnesses can make a difference in one life encouraging that person to make a difference in the life he/she touches next. If you know someone needing inspiration, this is a good book that will be a gift worth giving.
